Ericeira is a white cobblestone fishing village on the atlantic coast of Portugal, considered by many the surfing capital of Europe. Surrounded by beautiful beaches and with a breath-taking coastline, it is the ideal destination for those who love being lazy on a beach, surf in the ocean, hike in nature, explore local gastronomy and history, and enjoy a busy nightlife.

Casa Bubbles is located at the south end of Ericeira. Although it is walking distance from the beach and the center of town, it is best to have a car to move around. There are many touristic points of interest within one hour drive: Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Cabo da Roca, Peniche, Obidos, Sesimbra, and Costa da Caparica, just to name a few.

Beach

Surfing is the thing to do in Ericeira! Plenty of schools for beginners, plenty of peaks in the water for surfers of all levels. Peniche and more spots are only an hour away. One can surf all year round with a 4/3 wetsuit!

Hike

Several walking trails from easy to advanced start right in front of Casa Bubbles, and depart towards the coast, rural areas, and along the river Lizandro. There’s a calisthenic park at walking distance!

Restaurants

Ericeira has a solid offer in the gastronomy departmet: traditional comida portuguesa, pizza, sushi, indian, mexican, asian, poke, brunch, bakeries and more. At night, go for cocktail bars, dance clubs or a rooftop party in a local surfhouse downtown!

Shopping

It’s very easy to fall in love with this lovely portuguese town. The waves and the vibes really enter your heart. It won’t be difficult to find the perfect souvenir to bring home as a memory, found in one of the many cool shops in town or from the local artesan markets!
